Exhibition Narrative:

In respect to the institution of Aalto, meaning wave, in Väre, meaning ripple, “Pisara” is the droplet one dissolves into when studying here. That’s why this ceramics xylophone came to be. “Pisara” is composed of a repetition of scaled-down bricks with a wave-like surface, each with a different wall thickness resulting in a different pitch.
